Welcome to the website of Bishop Ian Ramsey C of E Primary School.

I am very proud to be Headteacher of this fantastic school; working with our dedicated staff, wonderful pupils, supportive families and committed Academy Council. We are proud to be part of the Durham and Newcastle Diocesan Learning Trust.

Our school, with its modern building, extensive grounds and own woodland and Forest School, is at the heart of the local community. We have strong Christian values of Respect, Trust, Compassion and Hope, which underpin everything we do. Our school vision, based in scripture, is to enable each child to 'Shine as a Light in the World' (Philippians 2:15). We aspire for each child to truly 'Shine as a Light' and to celebrate their God given gifts and talents during their journey with us.

Our experienced and highly-skilled staff provide the children with excellent spiritual, moral, social and cultural guidance while delivering a well-planned, ambitious curriculum that challenges, excites and enriches.

We are proud to have recently been judged by Ofsted as a GOOD school with OUTSTANDING features (Ofsted 2024).
